I decided I would try some out this week, and share them with you!  There are a gazillion and one smoothie recipes out there, but I typically find they have so many ingredients! So these are going to be basic (but still yummy!!) recipes, with food/fruits that aren't difficult to find in your grocery store! Protein Pancakes: Only THREE Ingredients?!

Image
This is my 100th blog post!!! So to celebrate, I thought I would share a fun recipe! I have a major sweet tooth, so I am always trying to find healthier versions of my favorite foods (ice cream, cake, cookies, brownies, etc etc). You may have read about the monster muffins I previously baked, and I am still working on a better recipe :) However, I have perfected something equally delicious- protein pancakes. There are at least a million recipes on Pinterest for protein pancakes, and I have tried just about all of them! I have sort of mixed recipes and ingredients to bring you this 3 ingredient protein pancake! And no, one of those is NOT banana. So many healthy recipes include bananas (which I admit can give a great texture in baking sometimes), but I personally do not like the taste of banana. So this is also a banana free pancake ;) Your three ingredients are: 1) Protein Powder 2) Eggs 3) Oatmeal And that is all! The recipe I am going to share makes two good sized pancakes ...

How I Make My Oatmeal - It Has Eggs?!

Image
Hello again! I sincerely hope you all have enjoyed your weeks so far! Today I want to share with you how I make my "protein" oatmeal; and no it doesn't have protein powder! If you want to, by all means add a scoop or even just a half scoop of protein powder! But this recipe actually gets it protein boost from- you guessed it- eggs. I know I know this sounds weird, and so many people freak out when they hear this! But hear me out for a second, and you can't even taste it! If you think about it, you add eggs to cake, brownies, pie, etc etc to help with the consistency and rise of the bake. What it does in oatmeal is it not only adds protein, but makes it thicker and gives it a creamier consistency. The way I do this is to "cook" my oats first- I do this in the microwave (45 seconds), but you can make it the old fashioned way in a pot, or even pour hot water on top of your oats. You can use the instant oats, but I use the regular "old fashioned"...

THREE Proteins That Aren't CHICKEN

Image
Welcome (back) to my blog! Today's post is all about food- YUM! To tell the truth, I absolutely love chicken. But some people don't, and I don't always make the time to cook up chicken; I also think it's better to switch up your sources of protein throughout the week to get a wider variety of different nutrients. So today I bring you THREE other sources of protein that isn't chicken! Before that however, I want to say that I make what I call "protein bowls" for lunch 95% of the time; it is basically a salad with a lot more protein! They are so delicious, low relatively low in calories, and chock full of nutrients. Sometimes I just throw a handful of spinach and some chicken in a bowl and call it lunch, if I'm running late and didn't pack it the night before. And while leafy greens are one of the best vegetables (and foods overall) to eat, there are other types of vegetables that provide essential nutrients your body needs; hence the phrase ...

Zero Calorie Lemonade, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Monster Muffins?!

Image
Hey ya'll! I hope your week has been going well :) Today I have some recipes I have been using as of late! This is the first time in a while I have shared my recipes so I hope you enjoy! I have been trying to drink more water lately (let me know in the comments if you want me to post some tips on how I have been drinking more water!), and one of the ways is finding or creating water- flavored BCAA's , and this zero calorie and junk free lemonade!! based drinks that are very low in calories. My go-tos lately have been Green Tea, This recipe is super simple, and takes less than 2 minutes to make! The three ingredients are: Water  Lemon Juice Stevia And that's it! I know stevia is a controversial topic and I would like to address it on this blog, but here is a great article you can read for now! And here is one contrasting stevia to truvia. In short, true real raw stevia is not an ARTIFICIAL sweetener- it is simply from a different plant. There can be some si...
