What is a Friend?

This post doesn't have much to do with dogs. But I wanted to post it anyway. So, I got to thinking, what is a friend? What does the word "friend" really mean? And when I say that, I don't mean the root word or where it came from, I mean what is the definition of a true friend? Is it someone thats loyal to you? Is it someone who you can confide in? Is a friend someone who gives you hugs and makes you feel better when your sad? Or is a friend someone who would give up their life for you, or someone who would just give up half of their candy? Or, is a friend someone who has stayed with you, through the good and the bad? There are many different kinds of friends. Some are closer than others, and some are more like you than other friends. Dogs(I didn't say I wasn't going to talk about dogs, just that it isn't all about dogs) are considered "Man's Best Friend". I have to agree with that, but that is not the point I'm trying to make. Online Veterinary Colleges

So if you want to become a vet, then you have to take 7-8 years of college!!!! WOW!!!!! That's a LONG time! So I figured that I should start taking some basic college classes when I'm in high school(by the way, you can do that in America). But I'm only in 7th grade(well, when school starts, anyway)! High school is 2 years away! I know to you adults, that is not a long time, but to us kids it is! So I started looking for online colleges that I can take over the summer! A lot of veterinary colleges have an online program that anyone can take! And if you think that's cool, wait until you here this: some of them are free!!!!!!!! Again, I know that for some adults that isn't very big, but hey! I'm a kid! It's not like I have a job or something! Actually, I do. But noway is Oregon TailBlazers going to get me enough money to watch videos of a person doing surgery on a dog! So, for me, FREE VETERINARY CLASSES are PRETTY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now I'm in the proce...

TOYS: which ones are safe?

These days, when you go into pet stores, there are sooooooo many different toys!!!!!! Does Fifi need all of them? Which ones are safe for Rover? Would Fido enjoy this one more? That's the question now days. We bring Daisy to my grandparents house every Sunday, and they constantly are buying toys for her: squeaky toys, stuffed toys, rope toys, you get the idea. And she always tears them up, very quickly(with exception of the rope toys)!!! It can be a waste of money. So then, we(as humans) turn to homemade toys or children's toys. But, because they were made for kids(not dogs) the seems can be very loose and the stuffing will come out. Or, if it has button eyes or nose, then Rover could choke on the little pieces. Or Fifi could get stuffing stuck in her mouth. Or, even worse, Fido might even swallow small toys!!!!! Then they could get caught somewhere in the digestion system, and cause expensive vet bills. There goes the "money saver" idea! So, is it better to give Fido...
