Tip of the Day: How to Eat More Greens
Hey there:) So today's topic is about how to incorporate more greens(such as spinach, kale, lettuce, etc) into your diet. Eating a salad once or twice a day can become tedious to prepare, and let's be honest, kind of boring and bland for our taste buds. There are plenty of ways to make a salad taste GOOD and still be good for you! I like to call them "hearty" salads- these typically include other ingredients besides just vegetables, such as quinoa, black/ kidney beans, chicken/other lean meat, etc. These protein sources will not only add flavor and texture to the salad, they will actually fill you up. But sometimes preparing a good salad just doesn't happen- this could result from a time issue, or even because "I just don't want to make a salad".
