The BEST ever Matcha Latte (with Protein!)

Happy Spring everyone! It's finally spring break, and I'm so glad because I know we ALL need it! One of the best ways to relax is with a nice drink, but just because it's break doesn't mean we take a break from a healthy lifestyle! Believe me, I am all for treats and sweets, but you're not going to be in for a "sweet" surprise when it's time to go back to work on Monday if you're treating yourself 24/7. So that's why I've created this relaxing, healthy, tasty drink! Matcha is a green tea powder, and I love green tea :) it's so healthy and yummy and just SUPER good for you! While I'm not making this drink with actual matcha, you so can! I just find it easier to just make actual green tea, but the powder also works! ;) Alright so this yummy drink has just a couple steps :) Get the tea ready (whether brewing or just powder). The tea makes up the majority of the beverage, so I usually make about two cups Pour the green tea (p...

Healthy Habits

So as some of you may know, I am a complete health freak- from fitness and food to organization and  creating good habits. Lately I have been looking at new healthy habits to create, and I wanted to make a list to share with you:) Now a list of this size can be overwhelming, especially if you try to do it all at once (pro tip: DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pick out a few that you'd like to invest your time in, prioritize them, and slowly incorporate them into your routine;) ). Some of these are ones I do regularly, some I have just started, some I would like to do more regularly 😬 I'm not perfect, I mess up all the time, but the important part is to not become discouraged; if you have a bad day (or coughweekcough), you can't give up, you just gotta pick yourself up and have at it again;) Okay okay enough small talk, this is what you came here for: Drink Green Tea daily Wake up at a consistent time everyday (even on days off!) Go to bed on time Step away from the screens ...

New Year, New Goals

Image
Happy New Year!! (observed) 😉 Going into a new year, I always like to "year plan", as I call it- writing out my goals for the year, such as big ambitions as well as daily accomplishments. First I started out by writing out the "hard things" I wanted to incorporate/ do this year (more about "hard things" in another post). I then proceeded to write down what I wanted to focus on each month. January I really want to focus on my studies (two weeks till mid terms...) and get back into running. Also it was high time for me to get my license, as of right now I have just over one hour left of driving time, and thennnn finally I can get my license!! 😃 I also took a "spiritual growth assessment"- it shows you where you need to grow in your walk with Christ. I made a list afterwards of three ways I wanted to grow in each area (six areas total). Above are the ways I want to grow in Prayer, Bible (God's Word), Evangelism, Relationsh...
