December Intentions
Hi there! Only 21 more days until Christmas!!
As it's still the beginning of December, I wanted to write down some goals/ habits/ intentions I have for this month. I shared this on my Instagram story (@littlehannahh_) but I want to go a little more in depth on here!
1.) Devote time to digging into God's Word each and everyday!!
I want to make sure that I SET ASIDE TIME to not only read God's word each day, but to really study and apply His truths. It's so easy for me to get distracted by worldly wisdom and random advice, but I need to stand firm on what is really true. The best way to do that is to be continually immersed in the TRUTH. That word gets thrown around a lot these days, but truth is something that is of and belongs to God alone. I want and need to center my thinking and habits and decisions around what HE says!
2.) Read instead of TV
This has been on my mind for like ever now, but separating the sofa from the TV has kind of forced this habit on me! #rearrangingthehouse We will probably get around to moving the TV to where the couch is, but for now this is a fantastic opportunity for me to initiate and solidify this habit! Reading is not only necessary for my homework, but it also is one of the best ways to relax and learn at the same time. I have always enjoyed reading, but as I've gotten older I have made less time for reading. So I am excited to be setting aside time for that. Not to mention I have a horrible TV addiction, so it feels good to be able to relax in a healthier, more productive way.
3.) Podcasts > Music
I know, I know, this one sounds awful. But I personally find myself mindlessly listening to music just to have noise around me. I am still going to listen to music - it's not only calming for me but also enjoyable! - but some of the time I am going to turn on a podcast instead. Podcasts have taught me so much and are honestly really motivating and inspiring to me! I love listening to music but I also desire to grow and learn.
4.) 8+ hr sleep each night
Ooof, this one is a toughie for me. I haaaaate going to bed at night for whatever reason. I love sleeping, and sleeping in, and taking naps, but I totally dislike actually going to bed. I think it's because I love living and I don't want the day to be over... but I need the sleep to make the NEXT day a good one! Getting enough sleep is something that makes a dramatic difference in your life, for better or for worse.
5.) Good content for you alllll
These past weeks have been exciting for me! I am starting to get the ball rolling even more with this whole fitness business thang I got going on. It's no secret that I want to turn this into a viable business in the near future! I have been consistent on Instagram, but I want to use it more effectively, as well as doing more on here, Facebook, and YouTube. I realllllly wanna start creating vlogs but I feel like people won't really even care about what goes on my life😂 But nevertheless I am going to just start vlogging because it sounds like FUN to me!
6.) Work on // finish up projects and papers
This is just finishing up some homework before Christmas break! I want to have it alllll done so I don't have projects hanging over my head during the holidays!
