The Supplements I Take and Unbiased Review

Happy Sunday everyone!! Today I am sharing with you the supplements I take. As you'll see, I don't take a lot, but I still wanted to show you these products! Let's jump right into this review ;)

First of all, the only two, YES ONLY TWO, supplements I take are BCAA's and Whey. Whey is simply the concentrated protein from milk (you can read all about it here) and I use it to meet my protein goals (about one gram per pound of bodyweight) everyday. I use Whey protein powder, and also protein bars that primarily use whey.

BCAA stands for Branch Chain Amino Acids. These are responsible as the building blocks of protein, and help protect your muscle from being used as energy. I liked this article and this one here if you want to learn more about BCAAs.

The first product I have for you is my all time favorite whey protein powder: the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein Powder, in the flavor Vanilla.

I love the flavor, consistency, quality, and the FLAVOR of this!!! It tastes so so good and I love making anything from protein shakes to pancakes to cookies!

We bought this at Costco for around $60, but it is totally worth the investment.

As you can see, the macros on this are great, and is really low in sugar!! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!

Alright, next is another vanilla flavored protein powder by Cytosport.

This is another great option, and was about $20 cheaper than the first product I showed you. The flavor isn't as great, in my opinion, and has a different texture, but is still a very viable option, especially when on a budget!

The third protein powder is also from Cytosport, but in the chocolate flavor.

To me, this tastes like chocolate but also kind of like cotton candy?? I personally don't like this flavor very much, so I will usually also add Hershey's Chocolate Syrup or Unsweetened Cocoa Powder.

I'm not saying this is a bad product, I just personally don't like the flavor.

And the last of the protein powders, is a Cookies & Cream!!

This was from a supplement shop somewhere in California, and it has zero carbs! The flavor was kind of weird, especially at first, but I got used to it :) I want to find another company with this flavor, so when I do I'll let you know!!

And the last product of the day is the BCAA's I am currently taking! I just bought these from Amazon, and it's the brand MusclePharm, in the flavor Watermelon.

Previously I bought the lemon-lime flavor, and I do like it better than the watermelon, but this is still a great flavor! You can find this on Amazon for less than $15!!

That wraps up the supplements I take, and I hope you found this useful! I am not sponsored by any of these companies, just my own opinion and take on the products :)

Have a great day!!
Hannah
