I know, I know, chocolate and protein in the same sentence might seem like an oxymoron, but recent studies have shown that appropriate portions of dark chocolate is actually good for you! Recently, I have been craving chocolate, ice-cream, cookies, all the sort(but then again, who doesn't every once in a while???). I was determined to find a healthier alternative to a blizzard at Dairy Queen. Of course, it isn't wrong to indulge every once in a while, but I still wanted this to be healthy. So I was researching on Pinterest(follow me here !), and found a couple recipes, some including ingredients I do not have at the house (like Xanthan Gum????) , so I made up my own recipe. So here it is: 7 Ways to Elevate Your Walks:        So I was walking the other day with my family, and I was thinking of ways to make this simple exercise more challenging: 1.) Bring the Weights!        When my mom walks she usually brings weights, so I tried it out, and man! It is a really great way to tone those arms! I recommend starting with 1 or 2 lbs, (for beginners) and then working your way up. If you don't own any dumbbells, I suggest investing in some. But don't just hold the weights, move 'em! I recommend overhead presses, 90 degree arm raises, bicep curls, etc. You can even make up some moves of your own! 2.) Walk Faster!        One way to elevate your walks is simple: just walk faster! I just realized that I haven’t made a post about my dog; a puggle named Daisy. Here I am, blogging about all these different dog breeds, when I haven’t even talked about my dogs breed!! So, what is a ‘puggle’ ? A puggle is a cross between a Pug and a Beagle. They weigh between 15 and 25 pounds(depending if the beagle is a pocket beagle(they are smaller than most beagles)). Sometimes, they have a smushed face(like a puggie poo) or a flatter face like a beagle. They also have a cute curly tail and an adorable under bite from the pug. They have a longer body(beagle) and have a shoulder height of approx. 1 ft. Puggles are a very smart cross-breed. They are VERY food oriented(that means they will do just about anything for a treat!). Even though they got the brains, that doesn’t mean they aren’t stubborn. Puggles can be very stubborn at times. But they can learn commands including: sit, down, stay, fetch, roll over, shake, come, shake, etc. Puggles have tons of energy and love...

Eek!! Designer Dogs!!! They are pretty cool!!! My dog is a designer dog( Pug + Beagle = Pug gle ) Anyway, designer dogs actually started with crossing poodles(for the hypoallergenic* fur) and another dog(for the other desired characteristics). This is probably why poodle mixes are SO popular! D. dogs(Designer dogs) are identified by the portmanteau names. Portmanteau means crossing two words to get one fabulastic(haha thats one right there!!) word. Ex.- Schnauzer + Poodle = Sch oodle . D. dogs are usually a combo of 2 dogs, but on occasion there is three- German Shepherd + Husky + Chow Chow = German Ch usky . D. dogs can be used for jobs that other dogs cannot fulfill- suppose there is a blind man, desperately in need of a guide dog, but he is also allergic to dogs!! OH NO!! But since poodles are hypoallergenic, and Labs make GREAT guide dogs, if you bred these breeds, you would end up with a hypoallergenic guide dog!!! Guide dogs help blind or visually handicapped people by "guiding" them around obstacles(like keeping them safe while crossing through traffic), being their constant companion, and even helping their handler with everyday things: such as picking up dropped items, bringing items to them(soda, slippers, etc.), and even putting on your socks. Guide dogs help these handicapped people do things they could not do by themselves. Blind people all over the world have adopted these special seeing eye dogs. The first guide dog training camps started during World War I, in Germany, to assist injured veterans. The most common breeds of seeing eye dogs include, but are not limited to: German Shepherds, Labs, Golden Retrievers, and Labradoodles(Lab and Poodle)(for blind people with allergies).
