Hello beautiful people 😊
As I am diving a little deeper into working more on social media, I'm realizing that I don't just want to share fitness and health advice with you! I want to do that, but I also want to talk about living a truly totally healthy and fulfilling life (founded on Christ alone, but there's so much we can do to live our best life!) On top of that, I want to get real and personal with you all... not in a weird way but just sharing more of my life with you guys! I reallyyyyy appreciate all your love and support, and I'm starting to realize that people do in fact care about my life and thoughts and ideas. And it's fun 😉

Anyways, since volleyball has ended, I have been working after school. This means my day is go go go from 7 am to 7 pm. And I'm pooped!! Really the last thing I want to do when I get home is go expend even more energy for a workout. I just want to flop on the couch and watch TV. So healthy I know 🙄

I am trying to balance school, work, rest, exercise, and sleep, but it's hard! I definitely don't have it figured out yet. But I have realized how important a good night's rest is!!

Think about it...

  • If you get enough sleep you wake up rested and ready for the day
  • Which means you will be happy, active, and productive
  • Which in turn gives you energy and motivation to get in your workout
  • Now that you accomplished ALL of your goals for the day
  • You are tired enough to go to sleep at a good time and do it all over again tomorrow!!
It's really a great cycle. But the opposite is true too.

  • Not enough sleep means you wake up tired and dragging
  • Your morning will be rushed and you will become grumpy
  • Leaving you in a bad mood
  • In turn you won't get much done
  • And you'll be frustrated that you kind of wasted your day
  • You'll be so upset you won't workout
  • And instead will stress eat while binge-watching Netflix
  • Because of this, you will go to bed late again and the whole terrible cycle contintues
Each day impacts the next! So I knowww for sure I need to get enough sleep! Even if it means missing a workout one day... Rest is just as important as exercise! You can't have one without the other.

This is me typing my thoughts out and telling myself that I need to prioritize sleep. And then maybe it will be easier for me to get my workouts in. But I hope there was a takeaway for you too!!
