The Start.
Hi everybody! As usual, life gets busy and the blog gets quiet. But now that volleyball is over, I have got some more "free" time on my hands. In the midst of balancing school, work, exercise, nutrition, homework, family, and friends, I am trying to figure out what I'm going to do with the rest of my life. I have a very abstract dream of what my life looks like after high school. And as a senior, it's time to hammer out the nitty gritty details- as much as I can, since life does have a funny way of changing ;)
I've known for a long while now that I have a passion for fitness. For health. To work for myself. To inspire and influence people. To help others to become the best version of themselves. To teach others, and remind myself, of the importance of m i n d s e t in regards to every aspect of life. And to somehow coherently combine all of this to point back to God. To our Wonderful Creator who has given us all these tools and opportunities. Who is glorified by us reaching the full potential He has blessed us with.
I don't want to just be a personal trainer who works out of a local gym. I don't just want to hand out generic nutrition advice to those who are interested. I want to impact people. I want to take ahold of my life, opportunities, and gifts God has given me to reach out to people and help them do the same.
So I've realized some things. First of all, if I want to motivate and give people tools to become the best version of themselves, I need to become the best version of me by applying the understanding I have gained, and continually seeking to understand more. I need to become the best me. Because the dreams and goals and ambitions and aspirations I have cannot be fulfilled by the person I am now. I need to grow into the woman that can. And that woman is the best version of me.
Secondly, I need to be proactive about 1.) learning and 2.) putting myself out there. I can't teach if I haven't been taught, and I can inspire if I'm hiding in my bedroom. I want to do all I can to actively and intentionally grow my personal brand now. And part of that means I need to get myself out there. I want and need to be more active on here as well as YouTube. Instagram is a great platform, but it can only go so far. Most people are not going to read a caption on Instagram as much as they would on a blog, or listen to a video.
This gets so overwhelming for me because I don't know where to begin. But there is no perfect way to start, so I am just going to start. This is my start, right here, of turning this into something more. Of taking this to the next level. As silly as this seems to most, this is my business. This is my brand. I am not making any money from it. But I'm building. We have all got to start somewhere, and this is my somewhere. I'm leaving all the worries of peoples' opinions and thoughts in the past- where they belong. I'm stepping out into this crazy life, and those who want to come along with me are so more than welcome to. But those that just want to judge, criticize, give useless opinions, and tear me down are not welcome. This is my life, and this is my start.
