Healthy Habits

So as some of you may know, I am a complete health freak- from fitness and food to organization and  creating good habits. Lately I have been looking at new healthy habits to create, and I wanted to make a list to share with you:) Now a list of this size can be overwhelming, especially if you try to do it all at once (pro tip: DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pick out a few that you'd like to invest your time in, prioritize them, and slowly incorporate them into your routine;) ). Some of these are ones I do regularly, some I have just started, some I would like to do more regularly 😬 I'm not perfect, I mess up all the time, but the important part is to not become discouraged; if you have a bad day (or coughweekcough), you can't give up, you just gotta pick yourself up and have at it again;) Okay okay enough small talk, this is what you came here for:

  • Drink Green Tea daily
  • Wake up at a consistent time everyday (even on days off!)
  • Go to bed on time
  • Step away from the screens (especially before bed and after waking up)
  • Drink enough water everyday
  • Drink water first thing when you wake up
  • Oil Pull
  • Detox regularly (physically, emotionally, mentally)
  • Get up and Move
  • Eat Veggies with every meal
  • Find new ways to eat veggies (green smoothie anyone?)
  • Take the stairs
  • Find ways to get your steps in (park farther away, walk when you talk on the phone, etc.)
  • Create an exercise routine and stick to it
  • Get more sunshine
  • Take your vitamins (and supplements)
  • Cut out fake, processed food
  • Likewise, eat whole food
  • Focus on the positive (Philippians 4:8)
  • Write down a list of goals for that day (include even little things like "have a cup of tea")
  • Change sheets every one or two weeks
  • Deep clean the bathroom once a month
  • Do laundry regularly, it helps to have a schedule
  • Write down your goals, and tangible steps to get you there
  • Become involved in community, church, school, work, etc.
  • Take the lead on a group project once in a while
  • Initiate good, wholesome conversations
  • Make spending time with God daily a priority
  • Call old friends once in a while
  • Instead of the movies, try finding activities that get you MOVING
  • Read more, TV less
  • Invest your money and your time
  • Find cheaper ways to do things
  • Take more baths (with bubbles, salts, music, candles, a good book, whatever floats your boat;) )
  • Rest
  • Stay motivated and inspired;)
