What to do with: Green Tea

Hey everyone! (Sorry I haven't posted in while) I'm sure most, if not all, of you have heard about how great green tea is. I am actually new to the Green Tea Club; I was introduced to it by my Gramma this summer. I'll admit: I wasn't originally a huge fan of the taste, but now I ABSOLUTELY love it!! I drink it everyday, sometimes twice;) At first, since I was getting into the routine of school and I didn't have a previously set ritual of drinking coffee/tea in the morning, it was tricky making it and drinking it before I had to get on the bus; sometimes I had to take it to go(its quite embarrassing trying to juggle two bags, three books, a binder, and a hot, full, non-travel mug of tea). So now I have several ways I use my GREEN TEA:

  • Brew it in the morning. I love drinking my hot tea in the morning with breakfast, but when I run in the morning, I have to shower, not leaving me any time to have a glorious breakfast and tea. This is great for slower mornings, such as weekends, or days off.
  • Make a pitcher. I do this all the time. I have two, 2-liter pitchers I use(one for my green tea, another for an occasional detox water I make). I will boil my water, pour it into the pitcher; I use two tea bags for the whole pitcher. Then I will let it cool on the counter, or put it in the fridge ASAP, depending on the time I have. Voila! I use this in my smoothies(instead of regular water), drink it iced, use it in my beauty routine, or take it to go/no time to make hot tea.
  • Use it in smoothies. I already mentioned this, but switching water for green tea will make your smoothies THAT MUCH healthier. Green tea has tons of benefits!
  • Beauty routine. Again, already mentioned this, and while I have not used it personally, I have read a lot of articles (Pinterest;)) about using green tea in your beauty routine. You can make a facial toner, bath bombs, add it to your facial cleanser, exfoliators, lip balm, and the list continues.
  • Make a latte. Refer to this recipe.
That's it for now, friends! How do you use green tea? Let me know in the comments below!
