Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

This sweet, loving dog is a great lap dog. In fact, the King Charles Spaniel used to sleep in the beds of kings and queens to attract parasites to them, and not to their masters! The breed is named after King Charles II, and was a popular and fashionable lap dog in Scotland. There lovely feathered coats come in four different colors: tri-colored, ruby(the most popular), chestnut and white, and my personal favorite, the black and tan. The King Charles Spaniel is a breeze to train! Teach them once, and they never forget it. These smarties should be walked once a day, since they are a small lap dog(unlike the great dane, which even though huge, is considered a lap dog, because it likes to sit in your lap!). The  King Charles Spaniel has a life-span of approx. 10-15 years. Some of them do not make it that long, though. These dogs are prone to heart disease. When adopting, make sure the parents have not had heart disease, otherwise, your little guy could have some problems. But over all, these dogs are GREAT companions that just love to snuggle!

P.S. If you have anything you would like me to make a post of, please comment on any post telling me what you would like me to do(a specific dog breed, training, some sort of disease, etc.)! So, please start commenting!
